Bengali Brothers we are ashamed

Bengali Brothers we are ashamed
I am a normal Pakistani and I was born and bred in Pakistan since the first day when I joined my school I was taught a history about Pakistan in which the whole chapter of the liberation of  Bangladesh and splitting of Pakistan was skimmed over and I was never told what actually happened in Bangladesh. During my school time I used to deliver speeches on fourteenth of August every year and besides that  on some special occasions but  my school teacher and head master just used to tell me that nothing happened in 1971 except a war in which we defeated India and that’s it and some of them had enough courage to tell me that after the war of 1971 Pakistan got split into Pakistan and Bangladesh but they all blamed India for this mishap. We are not only being unjust but also racist to some extent and this act is absolutely contemptuous .
But I came to know about the fact after a long time when  I got matured and I myself read the history and realized that I was kept in darkness and I kept on thinking that why was this done to them just because they were black ,puny  and scared ?
While reading about the incidents of 1971 I came to know about an incident in which her uncle was picked up Pakistani armed forces and he never returned home after that she knew that they would no more be alive but she had a small wish of getting those dead bodies and burying them.

During the war our establishment did really wrong with Bengali people and on the orders of establishment several banks were looted  and the women of Bengali people were raped by the Pakistani army and still we are playing a blame game and I think we as nation are equally responsible for it because we did not raise our voice when our brothers were being subjected to racism and were being bludgeoned into submission  and we still blame India for all that India did nothing but made the most of the disunity and arrogance we showed and this way India got involved into it and of course our army had to surrender in front of Indian army and this is so far the biggest disgraceful event for Pakistan and somebody talks of the reality he is labeled as a traitor they way Mujeeb ur Rehman was labeled as traitor but today I would admit  using this forum that the massacre of Bengalis was wrong and we would have to review our behavior of labeling  people traitor  if we want this remaining Pakistan to remain united and As George Santayana said:
“Those who cannot learn from their history are doomed to repeat it.”
